There's one detail I'm still not clear about, though: Is Kewpie a specific brand name, or is the term more like "sriracha," a generic name for a product that can be made by many companies?

I wouldn’t print it without checking, but I’m pretty sure it’s analogous to Kleenex — a specific brand name that is often used colloquially to describe other brands with a similar style.exit2lef wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2024 10:33 am There's one detail I'm still not clear about, though: Is Kewpie a specific brand name, or is the term more like "sriracha," a generic name for a product that can be made by many companies?
