I hate YouTube: A5 Wagyu source locally

Post by LaPan »

Just went down the Wagyu YouTube hole and now I’d like to buy a one pound piece (to cook myself). Where’s the best local source?

Hrm... I'm not aware of *anybody* who sells the high-end stuff locally. Except Costco on occasion, oddly enough. But that's more of a weird one- or two-off rather than something they bring in with any kind of regularity.

Not what you asked for, but if nothing turns up locally, I've gotten some great stuff from Crowd Cow. The olive wagyu, in particular, is tremendous when they offer it. There are some other good online retailers as well, but that's the one I have experience with.

Hobe Meats carries it. They're in the Arcadia area- 6044 N. 16th St.
