Flagstaff recs?
Looking for ideas for Flagstaff in April, bonus points for dog friendly patios. Best pizza? Unique places? Holes in the wall?
Re: Flagstaff recs?
I haven’t been but heard good things:
Literal hole in the wall: Evan’s Fish n Chips
Proper Meats + Provisions

For Pizza: Pizzicletta
My kids ask to go back there for pizza all the time.
A great local coffee shop: Macys (Not the department store. )
Proper has great sandwiches.

Great recs, thanks. I did eat at Pizzicletta at Dark Skies. Will hit up again.

Best Pizza you'll get is Fat Olives. The white pizza with pistachios, brussel sprouts, and honey is THE one.
Foret FLG is my new favourite breakfast/brunch spot. Food is excellent
FLG Terroir is a wonderful wine bar. Great selection of wine. Food was great, too.
Atria was a big disappointment. Not quite good enough for the price point.

Re: Flagstaff recs?
I have been to Atria twice and absolutely loved both times for completely different reasons. Unfortunate that jayj had a bad experience there considering how much I enjoyed it. It felt like it was one of the few restaurants firing on every cylinder to me - service, ambiance, cocktails, food. It is certainly higher end price point though.
Foret we agree on though - excellent in every way but get there early on a weekend or be prepared to wait.
And of course Pizzicletta - always.

It wasn't so much a bad experience, just not as ... refined as expected for a fine dining experience.
Dishes felt half-baked (not literally). I can't remember the specific name of the dish, but I do remember it came with a side of fried chicken. It just didn't make sense to me. Tried a couple of cocktails, too, which were lacklustre.
I have no qualms about paying a higher price for fine dining, but the execution needs to be perfect.
