I started with a triple reverse eye roll, went straight into a double facepalm, and then stuck the landing with a thunderous headdesk. Oy vey.

Nice effort, Dom, but I see someone's heels are firmly dug in on this one.

The whole thing is pretty baffling. Cherryblossom is just a couple of miles from both Hana and Clever Koi, so I'm not sure how they managed/decided to overlook it when conceiving the series of match-ups. hotdish and I were joking some ridiculous apples-to-oranges throwdown-type thing that appeared on CB sometime last year, but I think this one takes the cake (or, you know, pie or cookie or whatever).

I think a lot of the commentary especially from the Umami one, but all in all more of a comedy and a source for mis-information.

I'm still wondering why Chow Bella published a rant about how an NYC restaurant's wine list "sucks." How is that relevant to food and drink in Phoenix? And, yes, a ramen battle should involve only ramen.

I think CB has incorporated items from Voice Media outlets in other cities for some time now. The LA Weekly's food blog (for example) doesn't really seem to do this to the extent CB does, if at all.

EDIT: Er...never mind...I see now that the Per Se piece was penned by a local.

Exactly. That makes its appearance on Chow Bella even more bizarre.
