As everyone knows, I've been trying for this for years, as some of us have.

I am very excited to once again try for that much coveted apron from Gordon Ramsay's hands, but what I really wanted to say is that I am rooting for all of my friends here who share my MasterChef dream. Even if I don't make it, I am really hoping that one of us does. I am absolutely proud of every Phoenix food nerd who is going to go out there and represent Phoenix as a viable food community.

So good luck to all of us, no matter who does or doesn't make it.

love you guys.

Well, I think I might be the only person who's had all three dishes -- CelticBellaAZ's brisket with colcannon, ScottofStrand's ramen, and azhotdish's turkey and avocado meatballs with grape gastrique. And while I can say from years of experience that trying to decipher the whims of casting directors is the very definition of an exercise in futility, the food is most certainly not lacking... great work at the stove, guys :-)

Any news on what happened? I saw on Facebook that Scott is moving on to the next step (woohoo!), but that's it.

About all I know is that I did better last year. I'm still rooting for my other peeps. Once you get to a certain point, you're not allowed to talk about it, so we may not hear for some while who else in the competition moved on.

Everyone did bomb from what I could tell. So happy for us all.
