Re: Where to purchase hard to find cocktail ingredients?

I just posted this in Instagram to have an easy way to post here. :)

Saw Small Hand Foods syrups (pineapple gum, orgeat, tonic) at BevMo at Tempe Marketplace this weekend!

DeSoto Central Market

So we've hit DeSoto Central Market a couple times already and we really like it. It's got a very interesting layout. There is a front room with tables, the DCM Burger Bar and a coffee/breakfast/lunch counter called Tea and Toast . They're doing some of the savory toast thing I've seen a LA places I ...

Re: Phoenix Knife House- Renewal The Land of Sharp & Pointy

I'm sad Eytan left us for #pdx. Lost too many friends to that damn place.

That said, still absolutely love PKH and totally in on the FNA nom!

Re: Hue Gourmet - Central Vietnamese [Renewal]

I have to disagree with Dom. It's the Bánh Canh Cua that I love! If you haven't had that crab, rice/tapioca noodle soup, you're missing out. One of my favorite things. And the kids (and Heather and I) absolutely love the Bánh Bèo (steamed rice cakes topped with salty dried, ground shrimp and fried p...

Re: Hana Japanese Eatery - Renewal

My wife has good taste (of course). Totally support Hana for an FNA. Though we live on the other side of the valley, we travel for Hana. My extended family all loves it too. It's always right up there for special occasion dinners and if we ever happen to find ourselves anywhere nearby in the evening...

Re: Crepe Bar - Renewal

Full, absolutely support or Crepe Bar. Again one of those tough locations with all the kid activity craziness we face on weekends but every time we're there, we absolutely love it. Beautiful, inventive, tasty food. Amazing coffee service. Wonderful people. And if you ever see that Danish rose hot ch...

Re: Noble Eatery

This is the place I've most wanted to go and not yet been this year.

If they ever open up on Saturdays (as we're downtown all day), my money says that we'll be total regulars.

Sad I can't offer support yet!

Re: Welcome Chicken + Donuts

Yeah, 1000% in on WC+D. Probably the place on the board we've most visited this year with ballet Saturdays. We're only a couple of miles away for many, many hours on Saturdays so we've been there a ton and brought a hoard of ballet moms there. Awesome donuts of course, great coffee (love the full cr...

Horseshoe Restaurant - Homey Sonoran

Ok...so this might be a bit of a reach as I don't think many folks have been there but we love El Horseshoe. We have the benefit of spending all day every Saturday in downtown Phoenix while the kids are at ballet. With that going, it gives us a launching point that is much farther west than usual. I...

Re: Crudo - Italian-Inspired Crudi and Piatti (Renewal)

So we used to go to Crudo all the time back when it was in the Stephen Paul salon as it was so close to the house & back then it was pretty quiet early & we could sneak #theweelees in. It was pretty much their favorite place. They love crudo. But for some reason, we just didn't seem to make it in th...

Re: Lamp Wood Oven Pizzaria (RENEWAL!)

We finally got to Lamp and brought the immediate family party of 17. Universally loved.

The mignulata and so many great pizzas.... aussieheather couldn't stop jonesing the Calabrian chili oil until we found some at Andreoli either.

I love Lamp.

Re: Pig & Pickle

We love Pig & Pickle. It's in our hood and open late so we end up there in a variety of scenarios. Bike rides with #theweelees, post event muchies & drinks and just dinner time. The food is always great. The drinks are great. And the chicharrónes.... Fantastic charcuterie platters too. Definite thum...

Andreoli Italian Grocer - Italian for Italians

So no way Andreoli can be left off the FNAs. Was lucky enough to go just this past week. Didn't get anything crazy but it was wonderfully good as always. Just a pasta dish for Heather and me, some penne with marinara for #mrlee, a porchetta to share and the fries and leeks. Amazing. I've been lucky ...

Re: Welcome Chicken + Donuts

So....word on the street is that there is supposed to be a chef collab this weekend at WC+D with Charleen of FnB. If that's the case, sure it will be mobbed but we're keeping our eyes out. We pretty much head here every Saturday now while our 10 yr old is at ballet. Originally, getting there around ...

Stuck down in Chandler during the week, still haven't made it there. Downtown every Saturday for hours though & just hoping they extend to the weekend at some point!

Re: In'n'Out

Definitely a fan of In-N-Out. Even trying to eat within guidelines, the protein style double double w/cheese & onions only is awesome. Now with the change in plan to slow carb, dairy is out & the protein style double w/onions is still good. The value is nuts though. When we're on the way home from b...
