Re: Buckeye anyone?

He was doing it occasionally at the downtown location. It was pretty excellent and certainly worth checking out. Much like everyone else I rarely get out that direction.

I appreciate what they are doing with their new menu items but they do not work well for me.

@PHXEater are you using the ChefSteps recipe? I would recommend that one if you have not.

New Spots, Old Spots, Defunct Spots

As some of you are aware it has been a minute or two since we were up and running. Now is our chance to seed some of the places that have shown up in the interim as well as updating existing ones and commiserating over lost favorites. I figured a friendly reminder that this site only worked because ...

Re: Nishikawa Ramen - Chandler

I have been several times but not recently. All of my experiences were good and the food was at a level I expected. It was fairly soon after they opened. I will have to go back now that the weather has turned and see.

Re: Sous Vide Cookery at Home

Tim I do the exact same thing with the Costco steaks. It works ridiculously well. The seasoning before you vac seal them is key as you pop it out of the freezer and drop it in. Initially I had been sealing them without then thawing seasoning and trying to put back in the same bag and that was proble...

Re: Sous Vide Cookery at Home

Fired up my Joule tonight. The device and app are by far the most elegant of well done of any Sous-Vide product I have used. It is a little splashy if you pot is shallow the magnet is an awesome feature. Will probably go back to the Cambo next time but wanted to try this out. The app for it is light...

Re: Sous Vide Cookery at Home

Strong work Tim. Is that the groved baking steel? If so how do you like it? They seem awesome but I just cant convince myself to pay that for a steel platter. Reheated a tri-tip I had smoked vacuum sealed and frozen the other day used the S-V to warm it back up. it was perfect. Its pretty amazing. I...

Re: Naked BBQ

Made it out to Naked last week after not having been in awhile. Still excellent brisket. Also had the prime rib sandwich special it was an unexpected treat, nice thinly sliced pieces. I do wish the horseradish sauce they put on it had a lot more kick. Great flavor though.

Perhaps one of the East Valley Butcher shops like Von Hansen or Midwest Meats.
You might also want to check out AJ's or Whole Foods as they often have prepared items like that.
