Uchi - What to Expect?

Hi folks, haven't posted much recently because, well, life. I'm curious what to expect from Uchi in Scottsdale. Has anyone been to the Austin one(s)? Will this one be too "Scottsdale"? Kind of feel like I'm better off spending time and money at places like Hana and Nakano, but I am intrigu...

Testal Mexican Kitchen

Been meaning to post about this place after going a couple of times. We stopped in again during the Grand Avenue Festival over the weekend to try some more of those great little burritos. I've worried a bit about this little stretch of Grand Ave since El Charro Hipster closed and I imagine some of t...

Re: Devour Phoenix - Thoughts?

Thanks everyone! Hm, think I may give it a shot and report back. As Honart noted, any day out at the Botanical Gardens is a pretty pleasant one.

Devour Phoenix - Thoughts?

Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the Devour Phoenix festival. I went a few times pre-pandemic and I remember it being miles better than any other food festival. The restaurant list seems a little weaker this year (though Cafe Lalibela and Lom Wong will be there) but I’m still thinking about go...

Re: Locally AZ purchased/ raised heritage turkey

No experience with any of these places, but the Republic had a pretty good article laying out some options about a week ago:

Re: Course - Cory Oppold's Prix Fixe N Scottsdale

Man that’s a bummer. Food was great, will definitely be encouraging people to go there. As you mentioned, cocktails were very good as well. ETA: I definitely don’t have a problem with anyone eating early - we do it ourselves sometimes - I feel like it’s just tough to make most restaurants work with ...

Re: Course - Cory Oppold's Prix Fixe N Scottsdale

How busy was it when you were there? My wife and I went a couple of weeks ago and had a later (8pm) reservation on a Friday, and I was a bit surprised by how empty it was. I think this is just a pet peeve of mine, but I feel like one of the biggest things holding Phoenix back (even compared to, say,...

Re: The Larder + Delta [DTPHX]

This makes me so sad - Larder + the Delta was a favorite of mine and I loved taking people here. Their brunch was a great way to start a weekend day downtown too. I really hope they can find another space. Does anyone have other favorite Southern (non-Cajun) restaurants in the Valley? This Georgia b...

Re: Food Nerd Friday 10/6 - West Hut @ 11:30 AM

Unfortunately I can’t attend. I went to West Hut after the rehearsal for my wedding with my groomsmen. Fond memories of chowing down on our food over beers at Green Woodpecker. The goat pepper soup was great!

London, England

Hi Folks, First time posting here so apologies in advance for any formatting issues. Super excited to have this community and thanks a bunch to Dominic for getting it going again - I remember visiting the old board years ago and was so bummed it was dormant. I travel to London fairly regularly for w...
