A couple ramen spots:
Ichiran - Literally a huge chain over in Japan, but the ramen has Vulcan-like consistency. This is from the location in Nishishinjuku
Kikanbo — just outside Kanda Station in Tokyo: https://goo.gl/maps/Ajp8ckjJMk82
I primarily travel to Western Europe and Asia for work sooooo, sorry in advance!

Re: Tokyo, Japan
Oh, man, I will heartily second Kikanbo. That's on my short list of ramen favorites in Tokyo.
The place is a trip. It's done up floor to ceiling in a hellfire motif with demon masks and little trinkets and such.
And it isn't tantanmen. Not really. You choose both your level of chile spice and your level of numbing Sichuan pepper, and they do not eff around. It isn't toned down for Japanese palates. The fives will destroy you.
(I should dig up and post the old list when I can find a little time.)
