East Side Gyro spots?

Post by LaPan »

I’ve been to a few but they’ve all been just okay. Any next step stops on the east side of town?

former Mesaite here. I liked George's Gyros in mesa, Med Fresh grill and haji Baba in Tempe, along with Flaming Kabob in Mesa.

Definitely agree on Med Fresh and Haji-Baba. I also like Phoenicia, which has locations in both Tempe and Gilbert. It's interesting and a little disappointing that Med Fresh, which is Turkish, is now referring to what they serve as gyros rather than doner. I guess too few people were familiar with the Turkish term.
