Was in the neighborhood and saw that I have bookmarked this place and decided to go try it out. Really cool little restaurant with quaint ambiance and good for conversations. The menu items not your typical Mexican fare. I was immediate drawn to the lamb as it’s not an item that shows up in Mexican restaurants. Borrego Azteca. Stewed in a tomato sauce with onions, potatoes, and mushrooms. The meat was tender and flavorful. Will definitely go back and try other items.

I remember this place from back in the '90s when it was known as Such is Life. I recall it as one of the first local places to serve Mexican food in a slightly more upscale manner than is typical and to depart from the classic Arizona-Sonoran menu of combination plates centered around burros and enchiladas. Over the years, the ownership has changed, and the name has been translated into Spanish. I haven't been there in quite a while, so I'm gratified to hear it's still good.
